WHY I'M A REALTOR
Right out of college, I got a job as a writer at an advertising agency on Madison Ave in New York. I became a true "Mad Man" and won awards for the ads I created. What I learned as a peddler of ideas, products and services, was how to be a good communicator. What I also learned was that it was impossible to be a good communicator without being a good listener.
Advertising eventually took me away from New York to employment in other cities. And I began to develop a relationship with real estate. And realtors. Altogether, I bought and sold a co-op in New York, two condos in Chicago, a house in Atlanta and four homes in Miami, FL. Some of the realtors I worked with were terrific at listening and communicating and fulfilling my every real estate wish. Others were not. Often, I felt I could have done a better job. And so, fourteen years ago, in the interest of doing just that, I became a realtor.
Buying or selling a home can be something of a roller coaster ride. It's my job to smooth the way. By listening and effectively communicating with sincerity and respect--not just with my clients, but all parties involved--I am able to see my buyers and sellers through to a happy ending.
